Visiting & Lodging

Washington Township is one of Morris County's strongest outdoor day-trip destinations. The combination of Schooley's Mountain County Park, Patriots' Path, preserved farmland, Long Valley's historic center, farm markets and a surprisingly good restaurant scene makes it worth visiting even though conventional lodging inside the township is limited.

Where to Stay

Conventional hotels are limited inside Washington Township itself. Visitors generally use nearby lodging in Hackettstown, Mount Olive/Flanders, Chester, Budd Lake, Rockaway or the I-80 corridor depending on the itinerary.

Location note: Washington Township contains properties with Long Valley, Hackettstown, Chester, Califon, Port Murray and Schooley's Mountain mailing addresses. A mailing address does not always identify the municipality, so verify the actual property location when choosing lodging.
